Ruth and I took a deep dive into the topic of joy. It was such a rich conversation, we decided to share the whole thing, rather than dividing it into its component parts. After each slide, we shared questions we’d love for you to engage with. I’ve also placed the questions below with a photo of each individual slide. A third of the poem, Joy Chose You, by Donna Ashworth, accompanies each slide.
Slide 1
Questions – answer it in the comments or just have a discussion with someone.
What do these paintings tell us about joy in a relationship, how do we foster it and how don’t we?
What does it tell us about the evanescence (fleeting) of relationships?
Slide 2
Questions
What mood does each painting suggest to you?
Where do they take you?
Slide 3
Questions
How you find joy?
How do you let it into your life?
When have you danced with the satyrs?
Thanks you for visiting. We’d love to hear any thoughts you have on joy, the paintings, the poems or arting.
